EAGLE SCOUT Project: Liam Pickard will lead his Eagle Scout Project this spring and plant native pollinator plants here at the church in the raised bed on the side of the courtyard. The purpose of the project is to increase the plants that support the native pollinator population. Additionally, this project will make the existing plant beds more aesthetically pleasing. His aim is to start this project in early spring. He is asking for donations to help fund the project or if you would like to volunteer your time to help that would be appreciated. Yvette Colon-Pickard

CALL TO WORSHIP (Psalm 23)
Leader: The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.
PEOPLE: He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters;
Leader: he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name sake.
PEOPLE: Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me;
your rod and your staff-- they comfort me.
Leader: You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
PEOPLE: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell
in the house of the LORD my whole life long.
INVOCATION
God of generosity, you give us everything we need, and in you we find our greatest satisfaction. Be with us as we go about our lives about how and what we are doing,
and remind us that you are always there, animating our lives with your breath of life. Amen.
**OPENING HYMN “I Want to Walk as a Child of the Light” Red # 539
CALL TO CONFESSION
We may ignore, but we cannot escape the presence of God in our lives, in our entire universe. Let us come together in reaching out for greater understanding as we acknowledge our failings.
PRAYER TO CONFESSION
Gracious God, through the gift of Jesus Christ, you proclaimed your love for all creation. Have mercy on us as we confess our shortcomings in faith, our lack of attention to the truly important things in our lives, and to ignoring the needs of those close to us. Show us a better path to follow in the footsteps of Christ our Redeemer. Amen.
(a moment for silent personal confession)
ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS
Our Lord knows our failings. Our Lord shares our pain. Our Lord brings us joy. And our Lord
always forgives us in infinite love and grace. Amen
**HYMN OF PRAISE “My Shepherd Will Supply My Needs” Blue # 172
**PASSING OF THE PEACE
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH (FROM THE CONFESSION OF 1967)
In Jesus Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself. He is the eternal Son of the Father, who became flesh and blood and lived among us to fulfill the work of reconciliation. He is present by the power of the Holy Spirit to continue and complete his mission. This work of God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is the foundation of all confessional statements about God, man, and the world. Therefore, the church calls all to be reconciled to God and to one another.
PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION
Guide us, O God, by your Word, and Holy Spirit, that in your light we may see light, in your truth find freedom, and in your will discover peace; through Christ our Lord, Amen.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
And Lord we pray for those in our own hearts whose names you already know, for their own
healing and comfort, in your name and that of our redeemer Jesus Christ, who taught to pray,
saying:
LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
OUR TITHES AND OFFERINGS
We can hoard the gifts with which you bless us, God of generosity, or we can share them with others. May what we offer in these moments be the very blessing, the very hope, the very peace others need. This we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
OFFERTORY “Lamb of God”
**DOXOLOGY (Traditional)
PRAYER OF THANKS
Lord God, we thank you for these gifts. As we follow in faith, may we find ways to honor you by giving of our treasure, our time and our talents to glorify you and our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
